347 Stainless Steel For improved resistance to intergranular corrosion, flanges are stabilised austenitic stainless steels with roughly 17–20% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and columbium (niobium). They might also have trace amounts of silicon, phosphorus, manganese, and carbon. These flanges have a minimum elongation of 35%, a yield strength of about 205 MPa, and a tensile strength of about 515 MPa. For applications above 800°F (427°C), their exceptional oxidation resistance and high-temperature strength ensure long-term performance and structural stability in harsh conditions.
