Commericially pure Titanium Grade 2 contains ~99.2% Ti and traces of Fe, O, and C. It has tensile strength of ~345 MPa, yield strength of ~275 MPa, and elongation up to ~24%. It is ductile at subambient temperatures and resists brine, chlorides, and organic acids. With superior weldability and formability, Grade 2 titanium flanges have corrosion performance similar to CP copper-nickel alloys.
